As an Arcata citizen and a local architect I support denser development in the Gateway Area and measures that encourage and require housing affordability without increasing construction costs through excessive design guidelines. I  support the elimination of minimum parking requirements in the Gateway Area ‐ which would allow for denser housing development -‐ and instead support the development of public EV car share, increased bike shares, and improved public
transit.
