This is a section of the Arcata Fire District Board Meeting of December 13th, 2022 regarding the costs, staffing requirements, and potential response times for providing adequate fire and emergency protection in the Gateway area. The presentation is by AFD Board member Eric Loudenslager and is about an hour in length.
Because this presentation is designed to be heard by the AFD Board of Directors, the Chief, and other members of the AFD, it is concise and clear.
Eric made a similar presentation to the Arcata Planning Commission, at their meeting on January 10th, 2023. This was a more detailed presentation in terms of the financial aspects of the AFD’s needs. The presentation was perhaps more tailored to the Planning Commission, and also involved questions from the Commissioners and comments from the public.
